Another Happy Friday at Diona

The tendering department pulled out all the stops today to deliver a BBQ fit for a king, in preparation for Australia Day.

While Charlie, Ryan and Graeme were busy working their magic on the BBQ, the other members of the tender team were busy upstairs preparing delicious salads, a spicy chickpea curry and mouth-watering pulled pork with crackling. Deena Salwa, Senior Estimator, played an invaluable role opening the dips and delegating the tasks. Without Deena’s supervision and good time management, this BBQ wouldn’t have run as smoothly as it did. Hiding from the camera was Rajesh Shukla, Senior Estimator, whose curry went down a treat. Rajesh, your recipe must be shared!

No BBQ is complete without cake and ice cream and the tenders team didn’t disappoint. Deserts were aplenty and Megan Azad went the extra mile in early celebration of our national day by flying the Australian flags on the lamingtons.

Once all was prepared and ready to serve, it was time to blow the horn and enjoy the feast. It was hard to keep law and order around the serving table especially when people were trying to skip the line (Marten Jajou). His excuse, the food smelled too good to wait for!
