Walking Together for Mental Fitness: Safer, Stronger, Together

Walk for Mental Fitness
ESG Alignment

While the event primarily focused on mental health, it indirectly supports environmental responsibility by encouraging employees to connect outdoors, fostering a greater appreciation for natural surroundings that promote mental well-being.

Diona’s focus on mental health directly aligns with social commitments, including promoting wellness, reducing stigma, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.

SDGs: 3 (Good Health and Well-being); 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth)

Last Thursday, our Queensland team joined over 200 people at this year’s Walk for Mental Fitness. This successful event is raising awareness and smashing the stigma around mental health. The theme, “Safer, Stronger, Together,” was a positive reminder of the strength we can find in supporting our family, friends and colleagues towards mental fitness.

A special highlight was hearing from Olympic medallist Brooke Hanson, who inspired us with her story of resilience through mental health challenges, reminding us of the power of vulnerability and speaking up.

At Diona’s “Power of Your Voice” station, hosted in partnership with batyr, we delved into the importance of mental health in the workplace. Through shared stories, practical advice, and group activities, we explored how a small check-in or a simple conversation can make a big difference to someone who is going through a difficult time.

At Diona, we’re committed to fostering a supportive environment, encouraging employees to look out for one another. Together, we’re stronger, and together, we can create a culture that supports everyone’s mental fitness.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this meaningful event!
